Welcome to Goldenrod Movers! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, including residential, commercial, and long-distance moving, as well as storage solutions. By accessing and using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should refrain from using our services.
Goldenrod Movers offers professional moving and storage services, including local moving, long-distance moving, commercial moving, residential moving, and moving and storage solutions. These services are designed to assist with the transport, storage, and organization of personal, residential, and commercial belongings.
Booking: To initiate a move with Goldenrod Movers, you must complete a booking form with accurate details regarding the type of service required, date, and location of the move, as well as the inventory of items to be moved. You must provide any necessary permits, permissions, and access requirements for moving.
Payment: Payments are due according to the agreement outlined at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and other payment methods as specified during the booking process. A deposit may be required at the time of booking, with the balance due upon completion of the move. For long-distance moves, partial payments may be required.
Pricing: Prices are based on the services selected, distance of the move, and the inventory of goods to be moved. Additional charges may apply for special handling of certain items, long carry fees, packing services, or storage fees.
Cancellations and Rescheduling: Cancellations or changes to the scheduled moving date must be made at least [insert number] hours/days before the scheduled move to avoid cancellation fees. If you cancel within [insert number] hours, a cancellation fee will apply.
Accurate Information: You are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the contents of your move, access to locations, and any special requirements for your items (e.g., fragile or oversized items). Item Liability: You are responsible for removing any hazardous or prohibited items from the premises prior to the move. These may include flammable materials, explosives, perishables, and illegal items. Goldenrod Movers will not transport or store such items, and you agree to indemnify Goldenrod Movers for any damages caused by these prohibited items.
Access to Premises: You must ensure that access to the moving location (e.g., home, office, storage facility) is clear and accessible for the movers. If there are any obstacles (e.g., stairs, narrow hallways, parking restrictions), you must inform Goldenrod Movers in advance. Additional charges may apply for difficult access.
Packing: If you opt for packing services, it is your responsibility to ensure that the items you pack are securely packed and properly labeled. Goldenrod Movers will not be liable for damage to items packed by the client unless explicitly agreed upon.
Insurance and Liability: Goldenrod Movers carries insurance coverage for the transportation of goods. However, it is recommended that you obtain additional insurance for high-value items (e.g., antiques, artwork, jewelry, or electronics). Goldenrod Movers’ liability for lost or damaged items is limited to the lesser of the declared value of the item or the maximum liability under our insurance policy.
Damage to Property: Goldenrod Movers will take reasonable care to avoid damaging your property during the moving process. However, Goldenrod Movers is not liable for any damage to floors, walls, or other parts of the building unless caused by our movers’ negligence. We are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, such as structural issues or inadequate packing by the client.
Storage Liability: For clients using our storage services, Goldenrod Movers provides secure storage facilities but will not be responsible for damages or losses occurring due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, power failures). We recommend that you maintain insurance for stored goods.
Delays: While Goldenrod Movers strives to complete your move within the estimated time frame, delays may occur due to factors beyond our control (e.g., weather conditions, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances). Goldenrod Movers is not liable for any costs, inconvenience, or damage arising from delays.
Special Items: Goldenrod Movers is not responsible for items that require special handling or unique packing (e.g., pianos, artwork, fragile glassware). It is your responsibility to inform us of any such items so that we can discuss appropriate solutions.
Third-Party Services: Goldenrod Movers may use third-party contractors or service providers (such as storage facilities or subcontractors) to fulfill part of the service. While we strive to ensure the quality of these third parties, we cannot be held liable for their actions or omissions.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Goldenrod Movers harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including legal fees, arising out of your use of our services or any violation of these Terms. This includes damages or losses resulting from your failure to disclose accurate information, improper packing, or improper handling of items.
Personal Information: Goldenrod Movers respects your privacy and complies with applicable privacy laws regarding the collection and use of your personal information. The information you provide during booking is used solely for the purpose of delivering our services, processing payments, and communicating about your move. We do not share your information with third parties unless required by law or to fulfill the services you request (e.g., with subcontractors or service providers).
Confidentiality: We take reasonable measures to ensure that your personal and payment information remains confidential. However, we cannot guarantee 100% security of your information due to the inherent risks of internet communications.
Goldenrod Movers reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, with the effective date listed at the top. It is your responsibility to check these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Arbitration: In the event of any disputes related to these Terms, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the issue. If a resolution cannot be reached, any disputes will be handled through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida. The arbitration will take place in a location determined by Goldenrod Movers, and the costs will be shared by both parties unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.
Governing Law: These Terms and any disputes arising from them will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator, the remainder of the Terms will remain in full force and effect.
